In the following week the winner of the first
prize of the competition will be given the task of a specific master plan
under the general previsions decided by ORSA. The master plan will present a
detailed analysis of the Park morphology, land use, the areas of residential
development, the construction conditions and restrictions and it will be
ready in 7 months. The following 5 months the study will get the form of a
presidential law and it will be finally approved by the beginning of 2008.
Income
The urban development of the Park will bring hundreds of millions of euros
that will be used firstly for the conservation of the Park and also for the
development of other revatilisation projects as the redesign of the entire
sea front until Drapetsona.
The Park will be ready in 2013 announced the minister. Before that all the
infrastructure works will be done such as the extension of Attiki Highway
and the tram connection with the subway station of Argiroupoli.
There will also be a part of the Posidonos avenue that will become
underground and will be moved 400m to the north in order to link the
Hellenikon Park with the Agios Kosmas beach.
The decision of having an entrance ticket to the park is also under
discussion.
